Seven weeks until pub date!

Hello backers,
Everyone should have received all their backer rewards by now; please let me know if anything is missing!
In the meantime, we've gotten the books out to our authors and into the warehouse, where they will wait patiently for their pub date on February 7. Some of you have been posting wonderful reviews; we appreciate that so much! We also got a very nice review in Publishers Weekly, where the reviewer called the anthology a "thoughtful, subversive approach" to the trope, and "a refreshing change of pace."
Thank you again for all you've done to support this anthology. We're grateful for you!

Fulfillment + Shipping!

Hello folks!
Just a quick note that I submitted nearly all the orders for fulfillment and shipping this morning!
The only outstanding items are to have the prints signed by the artist, which I'm working on. As soon as that happens, we'll get those into fulfillment as well.
There are a lot of orders, so it may take a week or two for these to get packed and shipped, but it is absolutely in process now!
We're extremely excited to see what you think of the book! Let us know when you start getting them!

Printing Update + Backerkit!

Hello everybody!
Quick update! The books have been printed! They are in route to our warehouse and fulfillment center right now. I'm working on a specific arrival date, but I don't have that in yet. Then, they have to be received as well.
My expectation is that we'll start shipping sometime in early November.
To that end, all the Backerkit survey's have gone out! If you didn't get one, you can always go here -

Hello there, Chosen Readers,
Some of you may have been lucky enough to go to ChiCon, where LaShawn M. Wanak read her story, "By the Works of Her Hands" in full to a delighted audience. If you saw her, tell us! We want to hear your thoughts!
Meanwhile, the book is designed and back from our proofreader. You may catch something on this page that will be corrected in the final version…
I promise, not every story will start on page five!
Once our designer, Mike Brodu, gets through our list of corrections, we'll be off to the printer!
I'm so excited to share all these stories with you. Once we're off to the printer, we'll give you that update, and then it's a waiting game for all of us.

Dear Chosen Backers,
Here we are, at the end of all things, and we've made it. You answered the call, and soon, this book, this thing we've created together, will be in the world.
As you read this, I'm out of the office, enjoying a well-earned vacation (since even swim-team moms need a break from demon-slaying and editing sometimes). When I get back, we'll wrap up all the final odds and ends of the anthology. Once we have everything in order, you can look forward to a BackerKit email from us—but you'll hear from me before that! I'm excited to show you some screen shots of galley pages as we get them in!
Until then, keep fighting the good fight and facing the world one apocalypse at a time. You've got this.
